Merry Meet ONE'in'All,

A friend recently asked me to do a Tarot Reading for her 80-yr-old Maple Tree. I thought, using Tarot to channel a tree? I considered it a great honour & pleasure to do a reading for this ancient Wise One! I assured my dear friend that I didn't think her request was 'barking mad' at all...I've done readings before for a car, a new-born baby, a business, a country and a 100-year-old woman!

When I did the reading (on the 11th of the 11th) using The Four Elements Spread, I was surprised that all four cards turned out to be Court Cards (which I think of as being 'Personality' Cards). It seems to me that this tree definitely has a lot of personality!

As I looked at the cards, a narrative started forming in my mind...a story - The story & life of a tree which has experienced much, seen much & felt much. This tree then wanted to communicate its life via poetry, just as it had seen the seasons & years flow into one another like poetry. As Life indeed rhymes when one lives their life in accordance with their Higher Self, this tree not only wanted to share its story...it wanted to sing it.

"This Life I Know..."

With a shoot of inspiration,
and a birth of new emotions.
I ascended higher.
Reaching for the fire.

Attracted to the warmth,
Comforted by love...
This new expression tender,
My beginning I remember.

Stronger I rose into the air,
Patience, persistence; Eager to grow,
...from a firm foundation; steady & slow.
To dare, to dream, to will, to know.

I studied the curious beings tending to me,
Season after season, I watched them toil.
Their loving nature, their love for nature...
I fell in love with human nature.

Nurturing my spirit, an empath appeared,
A caring woman whom I deeply revered.
A nurse, a good listener; a forest goddess,
intuitive, mystical, a wise priestess.

The healing waters of her gentle words,
nourished my roots, caressed my leaves.
Fluid divine, cream of the crop,
I salute this magickal Queen of Cups.

I offered a wand as any King would,
to fashion the magick from my generous wood.
Inspire...I seek to bring out the best,
in all who step out from my protective nest.

I encourage the leader, the strong and the brave,
The king & the queen, the knight & the knave.
Earth mission complete; This life I know,
was all to watch You live and grow...

I can only add that your poetry IS GREAT and IS…
subtle - like a music of rustling autumn leaves,
beautiful - like a coloured lights during white Christmas,
touching - like a fresh spring feeling,
gentle - like a warm breeze in the summer evening :)

I appreciate your earlier poems too – “ Another Day In Paradox” or “Your Presence: My Gift” which give(generate) a lot of emotions.
