The New Teacher

"The New Teacher"

You may not initially like the new teacher. They will ask you questions instead of giving you the answers. They won't tell you how to think, they won't tell you which path you should be on, nor will they tell you what to do. They will tell you stories instead of preach, they will let you come to the answer that is right for you. The new teacher will not make the choices for you. The new teacher will not carry your weight on the path either. The new teacher inspires you to gain strength and confidence, so you can walk that path on your own. They want you to be independent; not dependent! They want you to walk with you. Not have you follow behind them.

The new teacher does not want to limit your possibilities, for the new teacher knows there are multitudes of paths all going to the same destination. For this reason, the new teacher will not say, "This way, is the only way". The teacher wants you to awaken to the God power you have inside. The new teacher will never offer you a spiritual shortcut. The new teacher is a hard core realist. They know that spiritual progress usually comes step-by-step, over time and with dedication. But they are open to the magical fact that spontaneous spiritual awakenings happen, and do.

The new teacher never makes negative prophecies, because they understand that in their position, they can influence many people. If they influence others into a state of fear, they also know that they can block them to access spiritual truth from spirit. The teacher also understands the power of collective consciousness. They know by putting out negative consciousness or predictions, that it will influence the entire collective fabric of consciousness, creating limitations, thus making our entire work at this time unnecessarily harder. They know fear stops you from hearing the truth.

The new teacher will not be impressed by gifts, offerings and compliments. They are not acting as teachers to boost their egos, to prove how enlightened they are, or to create a following. In fact, many teachers do not want to be teachers at all. You might find them in the most unusual of places. A teacher might be a downtrodden character sitting next to you in a cafe, or you might find a new teacher in a place you least likely expect, like a business conference, or on a bus. The new teacher will be everywhere, or could be anybody. God/dess works through everybody and in countless ways.

The new teacher will not try to win you over, by promising or luring you with spiritual phenomena, or with grandiose visions. Spiritual phenomena is a form of metaphysical entertainment. It might be fun, but it does not get you very far on the path. Spiritual phenomena may or may not show up around your spiritual teacher, or you. If spiritual phenomena does enter your path, enjoy the journey, if it does not show up on your path, enjoy the journey anyway. The new teachers are not status oriented. Status, or titles, means one person is better than another and creates a spiritual separation. Status or titles empowers one, while it disempowers another. The new teacher won't be impressed by who you were in the past, the experiences you have had, or how much you know, unless they are relevant to the present situation. They won't be impressed with your degrees, titles or exalted positions. They don't care about your genetic heritage, how much education you have had, or who you have worked with. All they care about is who you are Right Now. The new teacher will be with you Right Now. The new teacher will be real with you, and hope that you will be real back - after all, who we were in the past, is just that, the past. That was then, this is Now. All they care about is where your heart is Now, because nothing else matters.

Now, please stand up and go to the head of the class...for the new teacher...is You!

"The Flower Sermon"

Buddha stood beside a lake on Mount Grdhakuta and prepared to give a sermon to his disciples who were excitedly gathering there to hear him speak. They were all assembling there to hear him talk of the secrets of the Universe, of Life, and of how to reach Enlightenment.

As the Holy One waited for his students to settle down, he noticed a golden lotus flower blooming in the muddy water nearby. He pulled the plant out of the water. Then he held it up high for all his students to see. For a long time he stood there, saying nothing, just holding up the lotus and looking into the blank & confused faces of his audience.

Suddenly his disciple, Mahakashyapa, smiled.

He understood.

"Knock, knock"

A man walked up to the House of God and knocked on the door.

"Who's there?" asked God.

"It's Me" said the man.

"There's no room here for 'me'. Come back later." God said.

The man roamed the desert for years and years until he sat and found himself contemplating a small flower growing from a hole in the parched ground. At this moment, he understood. And he went back to God's House, and knocked again on the door.

"Who's there?" asked God.

"I AM" replied the man.

"Well then, come in. I AM expecting Us..."

And that's the story of how man, and God, became ONE.
