Nicky, I love your sunset photo,   I love its mysterious atmosphere!
I got to know that in Africa sun sets very quickly: is sun, is light and suddenly it disappears and there is only dark, deep night. :):):) That sunset spectacle is beautiful, for sure! It is difficult to imagine that scene, living at 52 degrees North latitude.:):):)
I have just read a book by Polish journalist Ryszard Kapuscinski - "Ebony" - a GRAND African story!
This book brought your continent closer to me - its history, political relations, life problems of local people and beauty of nature.
There I found a picturesque discription of African sunset! :):):)

Your second picture, taken from a plane, I would call "Eye of Arctic".:):):)

You had and you have fabulous conversations with SUN, Nicky!!!

And... My talks with A-Sun are hot, joyful, mega-friendly, often very crazy, they take place on the "third floor" of the Universe ,sometimes they reach the fourth floor!" :):):)

I have been talking to the Sun too... many times even... Its rays don't burn :)

This one above is during my return from Israel to Johannesburg, last November 2011 :)

Netty, it was not that hot with African Sun, was it ? :):)
