Hi, Nicole!
I have never taken part in any Dale Chihuly’s exhibition. I like his art very much - these colours and shapes are fantastic!!!
You wrote to me that you are interested in modern art.
Recently I have some "net contacts" with art. If you don’t mind, I will tell you a few words – about painting now .
My American friend – Frank (a friend from net language school) delights in Wassily Kandinsky’s paintings. His favourite ones are: “Couple Riding” -

and “Composition X” -

Frank can beautifully tell about art. He described that last picture in this way: “ A symphony of colors and shapes. Great spontaneity of a bacchanalian dance of abstract forms on a dark background, evocative of cosmic organic and geometric forms. Tension of two anthropomorphic shapes reclining away from each other. Light tonalities imbue the painting with humorous mystery”.
My favourite pictures by Kandinsky are: "An Old Town" -

and "Moscow" -

Frank told me about American painter Georgia O'Keeffe. He put her picture titled:” Music Pink and Blue" on his page -

He said :” Soaring arches of pulsating colors and shapes with a floral motif. Framed in light pink- and blue-ribboned rainbows, the vaulted entrance invites us into a deeper mystery that is the dark blue void within.”
I hope you aren't bored... :)

Have a nice Sunday
